Favourite things: Victorian Sherlock, Harry Potter and plus-size dresses

1. New pics and videos from the Sherlock Special

There’s no better start to a Friday than waking up to two new Sherlock videos. Well ok, one of them is an apology message from Andrew Scott, Mark Gatiss and Benedict Cumberbatch that they couldn’t be at Comic Con, but still!

The minute and a half clip from the Victorian Sherlock special is wonderful. Hopefully it will be enough to get us through the next few months…

Enjoy…

You can read more about the panel discussion at Comic Con on the new official Sherlock twitter account.

2. Accio Harry Potter play!

I’ve previously discussed my obsession with booking theatre tickets, and now it looks like I’d better warm up my ticket booking digits again in time for when the tickets for the Harry Potter play go on sale.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child based on an original story by the one and only JK Rowling is expected to open sometime in 2016 with tickets going on sale this autumn. You can sign up for ticket notifications on the show’s website.

3. Teen magazines retrospective

Were you obsessed with teen magazines like Just Seventeen in the 80s/90s like me? If so, you’ll love Belinda McKeon’s article on The Pool about rediscovering them as an adult.

4. My favourite plus size dresses

Last week I ordered far too many dresses than I can realistically afford in an attempt to find an outfit for my friend’s wedding. Surprisingly I found a lot of really great options as well as some nice casual dresses too and will have to reluctantly send some back (at least until the sale!).

Here are my favourites from my recent order:
