My favourite things

Alas studying for my A Level course and various wedding planning appointments (more on that soon) have meant that I haven’t blogged in quite some time. Did you miss me?

I thought I’d celebrate the upcoming long weekend (5 days for me!) and share a few of my favourite things this week. Enjoy.

1. Comic Book and Superhero Movie mash-ups by Butcher Billy

I’m so captivated by these images – they’re just so brilliant.

2. A short history of detective fiction

If you’ve read my blog before you’ll know I enjoy a whodunnit (particularly Agatha Christie).

Learn more about the history of detective fiction with this fascinating post on my friend Oli’s bloomin’ brilliant blog Interesting Literature.

3. Neverwhere

4. Video games

Lego Batman 2

Nial and I have been obsessively playing Lego Batman 2 on the PS3 this week. An immensely playable and enjoyable experience. So many collectables!

Plus Lego Flash is officially the cutest and funniest minifigure ever.

Aww look at him!

However our current obsession is due to come to an end today if my pre-order of Lego City Undercover for the Wii U arrives. Eeeee!

5. Book vending machines!

It’s the dream. Read all about the history of them on the Huffington Post.

6. The Great Gatsby

This weekend I’ll mostly be trying to justify repeated viewings of the latest trailer for The Great Gatsby as revision for my A Level. Reckon I stand in good stead.

7. LOL of the week

The Walking Dead and Toy Story are the SAME!

You’ll be surprised.
