Preparing for Paris: Twenties-inspired fashion

With our trip to Paris just two months away I’m currently obsessed with researching  itineraries and thinking about what to wear!.  We’ll come to the itinerary another time but first up here’s a sneak peek of some of the outfit inspiration I’ve been swept away by recently.

Midnight in Paris

Sigh. So beautiful.

I have always been fascinated by the 1920s, and I’ve recently become obsessed with reading about The Lost Generation (it started with The Paris Wife). Living in Paris then were Ernest Hemingway, F Scott Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein and so many influential artists and writers. Can you imagine how amazing it must have been to have been there?

Well, Woody Allen’s 2011 film Midnight In Paris did just that. If you haven’t seen it you should definitely check it out – it’s really funny with great performances. Plus it’s a great representation of how beautiful and inspiring Paris can be.

With all of this top of my mind at the moment – I couldn’t resist putting all that together. Even more so when I spotted the stunning dresses in Clement Ribeiro’s new collection for Evans. Twenties plus-size glamour-tastic. I’m in love. Now if only I could win the lottery…
